mGuard offers solutions for mobile health research that automate cryptographic key management for data access control and enable real-time synchronization among distributed datasets.
To preserve user privacy in mHealth, wearable sensor data should be accessed only by authorized users. Currently this access control is largely handled manually, incurring high overhead and subject to human errors. mGuard works to develop innovative mechanisms for the specification and automated enforcement of sophisticated access control policies and improve existing API capabilities to support a broader range of applications.
To enable real-time intervention for certain medical conditions, researchers need to retrieve and process sensor data in real-time. mGuard offers solutions that enable real-time synchronization among distributed datasets to share data securely and in real time with a large number of mHealth researchers.
